Changes for 2016:
We will have an open alpaca show again this year, but there will be no composite classes, or fleece classes. If your animal was sheared less than 3 months prior to the show, the shorn class is appropriate.
Please note: The non-member farm fee for ALSA classes is reduced to $50 and may be applied toward an ALSA membership. The youth non-member fee is still $15.
The scavenger hunt will run from Friday night until Sunday noon. Pick up your packet with instructions from Bev Souva. Her farm display is Sandy Acres Llama Farm. You can look on your own or you can form a team of up to 4 youth. The first place team will receive a prize. If you have any questions please contact Bev at 989-856-3461 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
NOTE: The Costume Contest is open to youth and adults.
Because of numerous requests, we are changing the format to have all participants in the ring for a one time class. The class will be held between Medium Wool and Heavy Wool classes on Sat. Participants are encouraged to parade through the stalling area at the conclusion of the class so that those who cannot be in the show arena still get the opportunity to see the fabulous creations and the animals who tolerate all that stuff.
Corky Dubois and her group are again hosting a fabulous Silent Auction. The proceeds go to the scholarship fund, so if you have items you would like to donate, please see Corky or bring them to the office. It should be another year of great selections for your bidding pleasure.
