LAMAFEST 2006

It was a beautiful Michigan weekend, with fantastic animals, a dedicated volunteer staff, an enthusiastic public and a fabulous collection of vendors. A show superintendent could not ask for more. Many people work very hard to make this show a success and my appreciation and thanks go to each of you.

This year there were 295 llamas and 37 alpacas in the ALSA show plus 70 sale animals. It is great to have a full house. I would like to thank our judges Lorraine Guyn, Deb Yeagle, LeeAnn King, Darrell Anderson, and Allen Davis for a superb job in completing this large show in an orderly and timely fashion.

Some of the highlights this year included our first walking fleece show which was a great success. There were also some of the most creative and involved costumes seen to date, they were a great crowd favorite. Additionally we held our first and very successful Lamafest Llama Futurity. It was generously sponsored by both the MLA and LFA.

Thanks to everyone who supports this show as a sponsor, vendor, or exhibitor. It is a collective effort, and everyone plays a vital role. THANKS!
